ABOUT JBG

JBG (Ryan Adje; born January 28, 2005) is a American music producer of Togolese descent, whose innovative fusion of Afrobeats, contemporary R&B, hip-hop, and alternative music has redefined modern production. At just 21 years old, JBG has quickly ascended as one of the most sought-after producers in the industry. Born in Brattleboro, Vermont, he spent his formative years moving across the United States, also immersing himself in the rich cultural backdrop of Togo, West Africa. Although he nurtured a love for music from an early age, it was not until 2020, during the global pandemic, that he fully committed to production, self-teaching his craft and developing a signature sound.
Inspired by trailblazers like Chris Brown and Wizkid, JBG’s music radiates a global energy, blending R&B with the rhythmic vibrance of Afrobeats. His breakthrough came with a single "Coco Butta" by Amaria BB surpassing 4.5 million plays on Spotify alone, and thrusting him into the spotlight. As the buzz grew, JBG produced for top artists, including Eric Bellinger, Lakeyah, and Ye Ali, cementing his reputation as a producer with both breadth and depth.
His production work drew widespread acclaim when Complex[1] spotlighted him, recognizing his innovative approach and his impact on both R&B and Afrobeats. This coverage marked a pivotal moment, propelling JBG to the forefront of a new generation of global producers, poised to shape the future of genre-blending music.
